I'm trying to be a better diabetic. Really I am. I hate to admit it, but I rarely test my blood glucose prior to exercising.
I know. I know. Yes, I will try to be better. However, I do test my BG AFTER exercising and it's normally higher! Last week I tested it after Body Pump and it was 191. Not horrible. Certainly not where I want it to be. I'd be happy with 100 at all times, but I guess that's asking too much. Instead I try not to let my small fluctuations affect my daily life too much. They are usually all within a "normal" range, or at least normal for me.
BUT just in case you need a friendly reminder, I'm including an article from Spark People about Exercising with Type 2 Diabetes.
